Erik Jensen explores the contested melange of the California anthropocene. His quest to understand the liminal spaces between cultivated landscapes and wilderness most recently manifests in the retrofit of a wooden sailboat with which he explores the offshore waters of the state. As a designer and artist, his adventures are the phenomenological backbone that drives a way of seeing the landscape. A prioritization of craft and minimalism extend to form a larger life practice. He curates experiences, spatial/visual/musical that speak to an understanding of the poetic interplay between humans and the land.
